My October beauty favourites are pretty short and sweet this month (mostly because pretty much the only new products I’ve been trying are Glossier ones and you’ve already heard about those) – but the products I’ve been using are all standout wins for me, so I they certainly deserved a moment in the spotlight.
Starting with a beauty tool, since it’s not often I have one to mention! I’m a creature of habit when it comes to tools, I don’t often mix them up. I’ve been a Tangle Teezer kinda gal for as long as I can remember, but when I lost both of mine in the move, I picked up a Wet Brush to keep me going and man am I glad I did. Don’t get me wrong I still love my Tangle Teezer, but for blow drying naturally curly hair this is a dream. It’s bristles are quite spaced out so the air from the hair dryer can really get all your hair rather than just a section. I love the pink watercolour design, and I picked this up in my local beauty supply store where it was super cheap.
Next a Glossier product I couldn’t not mention, the Super Pure Serum. I’ve been using this daily for almost three weeks now, and the difference it’s made to my skin is phenomenal. My skin is smoother, less red and if I get a breakout it heals so much faster! I’m so impressed with this, I think it will become a staple of my skincare routine.
I also wanted to mention the Glossier Mint Balm Dot Com, which I’ve also been loving. It’s a thick peppermint lip balm that isn’t too thick, but doesn’t absorb too fast either, meaning it hangs around on the lips a while doing it’s job. It’s been handy for cold days + before bed, and I like that it’s got a more matte than glossy finish, so you don’t notice it too much on the lips! Don’t forget to use this 10% off code if you fancy placing a little Glossier order!
At the beginning of the month I filmed a first impressions of the Maybelline Brow Tattoo and whilst I was a little sceptical, I’ve actually grown to love this. I pop this on to work it’s magic whilst I blow dry my hair, and then I don’t have to fill in my brows for three or four days! If you’re a fan of the power brow, you’ll like this one!
I also tried out the Rimmel Lasting Finish Breathable Foundation in that video, and it’s become a makeup bag staple for me this month. I love the light formula, demi matte finish and how long wearing it is. It’s the first drugstore foundation I’ve liked in a while, and I’d certainly recommend picking it up.
So there we have it, a short and sweet October Favourites! I’d love to know what products you’ve been enjoying this month – let me know in the comments!
