Things I’m Currently Loving

Although I did my monthly beauty favourites as planned at the end of August, it feels like a while since I’ve told you about some of the other things I’m currently loving. I really like these kind of posts, where I document happy little things that are making me smile, so I sat down with a pen and paper on a rainy Sunday afternoon and made a list!

REGULAR MANICURES

I’ve never been a mani-pedi kinda gal, but back in March after four months of not being able to have anything on my nails due to regular surgeries, I was craving a little pampering! It started off as an addiction to a fortnightly gel mani, but now it looks like me bumbling down to my local salon every three weeks for acrylic infills and a fresh coat of paint. This time I went for OPI Next Stop The Bikini Zone and I’m absolutely obsessed, isn’t it a gorgeous polish?! I’ve got another procedure coming up in two weeks time so I’ll have to bid goodbye to my nails for a while, so I’m making the most of it now!

MY NEW ALL SAINTS JUMPER

JUST LOOK AT IT, isn’t it a thing of beauty?! I picked up this babin’ jumper in the All Saints outlet at Bicester Village at a bargain price, and I’m so excited. I can’t wait to dress it up with black skinny jeans and heeled boots, but I’m also loving wearing it day to day over leggings and ripped jeans. It feels so autumnal to me!

PORNSTAR MARTINIS

Back at the beginning of the month I had this uncontrollable urge for a Pornstar martini – I dragged Connor into town on a Monday night in search of one! The obsession hasn’t let up since, every chance I get for a cheeky cocktail, it’s what I order! When we spent the weekend in London last month I even dragged Con to Dirty Martini for that very reason! I’m not normally much of a cocktail kinda gal (give me a glass of wine or a whisky and coke any day) but I’ve been enjoying these as the occasional sweet treat!

SLOW SUNDAYS

I’m loving these slightly drizzly, autumnal Sunday’s we’ve been having! The perfect excuse to stay home, have a long lie in, and spend the day pottering at home, baking, organising and reading. When we do venture out it’s to find a cosy pub for a good Sunday lunch! We headed to Shaftesbury recently, and found a cosy pub with good food and a chess board to hide from the rain in – total bliss for an old lady like me!

DOG WALKS

Since moving into our new flat I’ve been really missing my dog! I’ve been swinging by home once or twice a week to pick him up and take him for a walk and I really love it, it’s a good excuse to get outside + any chance to spend time with my pupper is a good thing! I sometimes take him back to the flat with me after and seeing him curled up asleep in my flat makes the whole place feel more homely!

SOUTH COAST ROAST

I’ve spoken about my favourite local coffee shop before here, in a Lattes and Laptops post, but it’s become something of a Saturday tradition now to mosey on down to South Coast Roast for chai lattes and avocado toast! It’s such a chilled space to hang out in, all the food is fresh + homemade, the coffee is delicious, and last week they gave me a free cactus. What’s not to love!
