It’s been a while since we’ve had a casual beauty chat around these parts, so I had a rifle through my beauty drawers and pulled out a few products that have been in heavy rotation for the last few months.

Since the great tan of Australia last year, I’m still not quite back to my usual Snow White complexion. Buying 101 new foundations for each shade change in my skin seemed impractical (and expensive), so I’ve been mixing my tan shades with my pale shades for the perfect outcome. Right now I’m really loving the mix of my Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation with the IT Cosmetics CC Cream. Mixed together and pressed into the skin with fingers, this combo gives a buildable coverage, healthy glow and incredibly natural finish. You can’t really detect it on the skin, it just evens things out and adds a little bit of luminosity.

You guys know by now I’m a big fan of a one-and-done eyeshadow colour, it’s why I love the Colourpop Super Shock shadows so much. I bought a few new shades back in March and my favourite has been Elixir, a matte terracotta shade that is WAY out of my usual comfort zone. I’ve been smudging this across my eyelids without much care or precision, and I’ve had SO many compliments on the shade. It’s a surprisingly easy way to dip your toe into rusty toned shadows, and the Super Shock formula is fantastic, you can smudge it on with a finger and know it’ll blend out perfectly and last all day.

I know the Glossier Play launch was a bit of a mixed bag for most people, but since getting the Color Slide Eyeliner in Pretty Penny, I haven’t used anything else. This sparkly bronze is a softer alternative smudged along the lashline than a black, but offers the same defining, lash volumising effect. Don’t forget you can use this link for 10% off your first Glossier order!

I missed the MAC Fix+ hype as a teenager, it always seemed like a bit of a princess product to me. A friend hooked me up with the Lavender release a while back and over the last few months I’ve been using it everyday to set in my makeup. I’m not sure it provides longevity to your makeup, like the Urban Decay All Nighter, but I find a few spritzes of this helps get everything looking like it was meant to be on my face. It softens powder lines, adds glow to my base and makes my makeup look more natural. The lavender scent is nice too, albeit a little sleep inducing for the morning.

I had to shout out to my beloved IGK Beach Club spray while I’m at it, I honestly can’t get enough of this stuff, I’ve just ordered some more. It’s the perfect texturising spray for freshly curled hair, it disturbs the curls so they look a little dishevelled, less than perfect, adds volume and hold too.

A shout out to my mini MAC 187 brush, which has come in SO handy recently. I love these duofibre brushes for powder products, setting powder, bronzer, contour, blush, highlight, you name it this brush will do it. This short version is perfect for travel, only one brush needed, and for chucking in my handbag for on the go touch ups.

And finally, my pal Sam managed to track down the Bite Beauty French Press Lip Gloss in Dirty Chai for me on a recent trip to Sephora and oh my, it was worth the year long hunt. It’s my perfect everyday nude, it’s not sticky, and it just looks so natural on my lips. Dirty Chai is my coffee of choice so it seemed like I just had to have this!
