I've had a bit of a spring/summer wardrobe overhaul the last few months, my wardrobe was mostly jeans and knits, sorely lacking in some warm weather gear. Thanks mostly to a trip to London's White City Westfield, my wardrobe is looking much more summer appropriate these days, so I thought it was about time I ran you through some of my current spring/summer style favourites.
STRADIVARIUS KIMONO PLAYSUIT
I'm totally obsessed with this playsuit, and it was an absolute steal too. It's black, like the majority of my wardrobe, but with flashes of colour that make it a slightly more comfortable way of incorporating bold summery colours. It's a lightweight stretchy fabric that's super comfortable, I find the wrap style flattering on my larger chest, and I like that it covers my shoulders and the tops of my arms. It was £20, and I've definitely already gotten my moneys worth! (Still online here.)
H&M FLORAL MINI DRESS.
I know I know, florals, groundbreaking. But man I love this dress. It's dangerously short and really quite see through, requires my largest pair of industrial nude Spanx, but there's something so quintessentially english country garden about it that I can't stop wearing it. It's got a flattering cap sleeve top half, with a little button down centre, and it nips in at my smallest part, so it's pretty flattering. It's white, so it's perfect for those swelteringly hot days, and despite being quite a tight fitting top, it's a nice breathable fabric. It's not online on H&M anymore, but I've seen it in stores this week - they have the same fabric in a few designs!
ZARA STRIPED JUMPSUIT DRESS.
This is the most impractical outfit for a night out but my god I love it. The vertical stripes, the wrap style, the skort bottom, the open back. I've been wearing this with sandals and my denim jacket in the day for a casual look, and at night with heeled sandals, my leather jacket and a cute clutch. It's a gorgeous lined fabric that hangs beautifully, and I think it's just such a versatile piece. It was £30 and is still available online here.
God I'm a sucker for a Whistles slogan, but I'm especially into them right now. Since picking up my C'est La Vie jumper - my go to for the cooler spring days, I've been hooked back on slogans, and ended up picking up the Merci Beaucoup tee too. I love the pops of red in my wardrobe, and how I can just chuck them on with jeans and be done. Yes, they're pricey, but the tees are so soft and the sweaters are just gorgeous, so in my mind they're worth every penny.
H&M KHAKI JUMPSUIT.
Okay okay, so I'm having a moment with jumpsuits. This one though is so simple, and has garnered so much attention, everytime I wear it someone asks where it's from. It's a soft cotton button up with three quarter length sleeves, it's simple and stylish, and goes especially well with gold jewelery and gold hardware bags. I love the simple army-style look, and it has pockets! (Online here.)
STRADIVARIUS STRAPPY JUMPSUIT.
The new Stradivarius store at Westfield White City is a veritable treasure trove of summer style, I couldn't resist this jumpsuit. Now, yellow isn't normally my colour, but I think with a tan I can just about pull it off. I love the soft fabric and the way the waistband nips in. It's the perfect too-hot-for-clothes outfit, and I can see it making a good beach cover up too.
That's probably enough for now hey! I'd love to know what pieces you've been loving so far this spring summer, let me know in the comments!
