What’s On My Bedside Table

Keeping my bedroom warm and cosy, clear of clutter and ultimately a calming space is so important to me. I struggle with anxiety and sleep anyway, so I want my sleep space to be calming and free of distractions! There’s a fine line though between eliminating clutter and having what you need (and an instagram worthy room) and it’s taken me a while, but I think I’ve cracked the perfect bedside setup.

I’ve mentioned before that we really struggled to find bedside tables we both liked for the flat. We ended up going for these ones from Made.com, and whilst they can be a little tricky to open from bed, we’re really pleased with how they look + the functionality. They’re good quality too, and not being natural wood, super easy to keep clean.

We chose to have wall lamps next to our bed so that we wouldn’t have bedside lamps cluttering up the tables, and honestly that’s made such a difference. I do still have my Lumie lamp though – it’s a lot less jarring to wake up to gentle light than it is an alarm.

I keep the beauty bits I’ve deemed ‘essentials’ in a little Oliver Bonas brass and mirror tray on the table top. I like that this keeps everything organised (as well as looking super cute). At the moment there’s a body lotion from Bath and Bodyworks, my La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo, Caudalie Vinosource Moisturising Sorbet, The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid, & Other Stories hand cream, Glossier Balm Dot Com in Birthday Cake, Glossier Super Pure Serum, Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask and Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask.

Other than that my bedside table is pretty clear! I keep my Native Union Marble Apple Watch Dock to the side (my phone charger cable is attached to the back of the unit), a small pink West Elm vase with a sprig of baby’s breath, and a little golden horseshoe trinket, also from West Elm for luck!

Any other bits and pieces I keep in the drawers, my current book of choice, a journal, tablets, a sleeping mask and even a coaster. I like to keep things pretty clear!

What do you keep on your bedside table?
