December To Do List

I know we’re already a week into December, you’ll notice I had a mini break from posting content over the last week, but I didn’t want to skip out on my December to do list – after all, it is the most wonderful time of the year!

I’m so excited for December this year, not only is Christmas on the approach (two and a half weeks to go folks!), but I’m spending the last week of December on holiday, so it’s a big month for me! The next few weeks in the run up to Christmas are probably definitely going to be manic, but I want to make sure I fit some December magic in too!

Tidy up my desk for the new year. My last day at work is the 22nd, then I’m not back in til the 3rd after my trip. I want to start the new year off right so high on my December to do list is an office sort out, getting rid of any junk, old coffee receipts, stationery I don’t use, and giving everywhere a good clean. That way when January rolls round I can come back to a fresh start to crack on with the New Year!

Have a Christmas wrapping evening. Mulled wine, festive candles burning, a Christmas film on the TV and present wrapping. I love a cosy winter evening in, and I want to make this years Christmas gifts look beautiful under the tree!

Bake Gingerbread. My dad’s away for most of the month, so I’ve got big plans for a gingerbread baking evening with my mama. To me, gingerbread is synonymous with Christmas, and I’ve never baked it before, so that seems like something that needs rectifying!

Find the perfect Christmas outfit for my dog. My pupper is looking a little on the larger side right now, entirely down to hair rather than body mass, but it doesn’t look like he’ll be fitting in his Christmas outfit from last year. I always find that TKMaxx have great festive pet outfits, but I’ve seen some great ones in Next too!

A mini Christmas afternoon with Lauren. The idea of not seeing ma gal Lauren for two weeks whilst Christmas/my holiday happen is straight up HORRIFYING, so to soften the blow we’re going to have a festive afternoon in the weekend before Christmas. A roast, Christmas films by the fire, hot chocolates and inevitably some Cards Against Humanity action too. Can’t bloody wait.

Lots and lots and lots of baths. It’s prime bathing weather right now guys and after my trip to the Bath Thermae Spa last week I’ve got soaking in a hot tub on the brain. I’ve also got a stack of bath bombs and oils up to my eyeballs to work through, so it’s the perfect excuse to spend a few evenings soaking.

A few more trips to the Christmas Bar. Whilst we always have a Christmas market in town, this years is a little bigger and a little better. I’m rather partial to a hot cider, served in the gardens snuggled up under a faux fur rug with a beanie on! It’s such a wonderful place to get together with friends + family over the Christmas season, and since it’ll all be gone when we get home from our holiday, it only seems right to make the most of it now!
