Christmas Gift Ideas

I feel like I’m a bit late to the game with gift guides this year, but since I haven’t yet finished my Christmas shopping (with three weeks to go, eek!) I figured I can’t be the only one! My Christmas gift ideas this year I’ll admit, are kind of based around things I love or things I’d love to receive, and I can’t be the only one, can I?! I’ve split it up into a few categories with a few different options for each so hopefully you’ll be able to find something for someone!

Let’s get the beauty bits out of the way cause y’all know there’s a ton on my list. I think there are three great routes to take when buying beauty gifts, the good all rounder gift set, the pampering product, or the luxury treat.

This year Kiehl’s have a set for pretty much everyone in your life, I love the look of the Holiday Bodycare set. Urban Decay always have a few amazing sets, the Little Liquid Vices Set would make a great gift for any bold lip lovers in your life. Liz Earle always do a Christmas version of their Cleanse and Polish which usually includes a lovely muslin cloth, and it’s a great gift for mums, nans, or anyone who loves skincare. Fresh have some great Christmas sets this year, I’d love to see the Facial on the Fly set under my tree, but the Picture Perfect Mask Set looks great too.

As far as a good pamper goes, you can never go wrong with a Lush gift set (or handpicked selection!) but I personally love the Aromatherapy Associates Bath Oil sets, and try to pick one up every year. Their Mini Bath Oil Baubles are always good too, and make for a great work secret santa gift. I’m loving the Glossier Moon Mask right now and think it’d make a great affordable but luxurious treat gift (use this code for 10% off).

And as far as luxury goes, it’s always nice to recieve a splurgier product you wouldn’t necessarily buy. Chanel lipsticks are always a safe bet, and the shade Adrienne suits almost everyone. A luxury mascara buy is always a treat, I’m hoping to find another tube of the Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Mascara under the tree, as well as the Charlotte Tilbury Night Crimson Lipstick. You also can never go wrong with an eyeshadow palette, I’m loving the Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette right.

I love giving and receiving cosy clothing bits at Christmas time. Everyone loves new knitwear, fresh pyjamas, snuggly socks and cosy scarves!

I recently treated myself to the All Saints Ade Cream Knit and it’s the best jumper I’ve ever owned, if a little pricy. ASOS have some great knits right now, this Weekday Knit has been in my saved items for a month or so, and this ASOS Eco Knit is a lovely shape. I also love Hush right know for beautiful knits and sweaters – this one is my favourite, I’m after the pink one!

A new set of pj’s are always a real treat to recieve and there are no shortage of them in the stores! I’m after these ones from John Lewis, and can highly recommend these from Next as being super cosy and soft. ASOS are great at pyjamas with cute prints, I love the Rainbow set – a great choice for sisters I think! John Lewis also have some beautifully soft dressing gowns that would make a lovely gift!

A pair of snuggly cashmere socks are high on my wishlist this year – and would make a great gift for the person that has everything! Oliver Bonas have a beautiful selection of scarves, hats and gloves, I love this colour block scarf, it’s so cute. Mint Velvet have some great pieces too this year!

I always love to receive beautiful homewares for Christmas, and there are so many gorgeous companies out there now that don’t charge a fortune.

Anthropologie is a literal treasure trove right now of great gifts, from pretty mugs, to gorgeous coasters, to beautiful bar top accessoriesJohn Lewis have some gorgeous champagne glasses, and I’m obsessed with this snuggly throwThere are some pretty vases about, and last year we made Connor’s mum her own terrarium which went down pretty well!

Candles always make a great gift and you can’t go wrong with The White Company Winter Candle. The Diptyque Frosted Forest Christmas Candle is on my wishlist, and I love their Pomander scent too. Candle accessories always make a great gift too, you can’t go wrong with a nice set of matches + Con bought me the Diptyque wick trimmers a few years ago, the kinda thing I wouldn’t have bought myself, but I use them most days!

Coffee table books are often a go to gift for me because there really is something for everyone. I love finding homeware books, the Kinfolk ones are a favourite of mine. For the introvert in your life Cabin Porn is a beautiful book full of country escapes off the grid. The  New York Times 36 Hours in Europe book makes the perfect gift for any travel fiend,  and I’ve got my eye on the Hans Blomquist In Detail book.

Everyone loves to receive pretty things under the tree, right?

Travel accessories are a great gift for anyone with a case of wanderlust, these Kate Spade Luggage tags are pretty + durable, whilst this holographic passport cover will be hard to lose in your bag. Everyone needs a cute coin purse and this one from Anthropologie comes in a few different colours. I’ve got these star crawler earrings, also from Anthro on my Christmas wishlist, aren’t they pretty?

I love this pretty Swell Water Bottle in it’s milky galaxy inspired colours, and Oliver Bonas have lots of pretty hair bands and grips this year. There’s no such thing as too many makeup bags and I think everyone has room for this flamingo and pineapple print one.

And lastly, why not give the gift that keeps on giving? There’s a subscription service for almost everything these days. Try Birchbox for the beauty lover in your life, and Bluebird Tea Co do a tea subscription service, what could be better?! A magazine subscription is always a great gift, Suitcase and The Simple Things are two of my favourites. Consider a Bloom and Wild Flower Subscription for any green fingered friends (use this link for £10 off!), or a Cineworld membership for movie lovers. And for foodies in your life, check out veg delivery services like Riverford or Hello Fresh for everything you need to cook healthy, hearty dinners.

And that about wraps it up folks! If you made it to the end, I salute you!

Let me know in the comments what’s on your Christmas wishlist this year!
