5 To Buy in December

It’s been a while since I’ve done a 5 to buy post, they often seem a little redundant when you’re also doing monthly favourites, but since I gave that a miss this month I thought I’d bring the 5 to buy back! This month my beauty routine focuses on two key things, looking good + feeling good, and here are five products you should definitely consider investing in this month.

Glossier Moon MaskI know I mentioned this in my last video, but I’m enjoying it so much I figured it deserved a mention. A thick, jelly-consistency mask that slathered on the face before bed adds so much moisture + bounce back into the skin. It’s somewhere between the Origins Drink Up Intensive and Body Shop Bouncy Sleeping Mask, and it’s doing a great job of keeping my winter skin looking healthy and happy! Don’t forget to use this link to get 10% off any Glossier purchases!

The Ordinary Serum Foundation. With my skin looking and feeling great, I’ve been steering clear of the usual heavier winter bases in favour of this offering from The Ordinary. It’s a gorgeous lightweight foundation that blends into the skin like a dream, but offers a good medium coverage. It’s buildable, and it’s neither matte nor dewy, but rather a really natural, skin like finish. Perfect for that flawless Christmas party makeup look.

Bobbi Brown Lip Balm. Sure I love my Glossier Balm Dot Com for a hit of lip moisture throughout the day, but in the evenings I’m still reaching for this treat from Bobbi Balm. It’s got a thicker, more solid consistency than Glossier’s offering, and when I pop this on before bed I can still feel a little residue come morning. It’s saved my dry, chapped winter lips on more than one occasion, and is worth every penny.

Diptyque Eau Duelle. When it comes to winter fragrance I’m looking for dark and moody. This scent from Diptyque is hella pricey, but what it lacks in affordability, it makes up for in god damn dreaminess. A woody vanilla scent, you only need a single spritz to feel like your cosied up in a wood cabin for the weekend. I love this scent and while yes, it’s pricey, I pretty much exclusively wear it in the winter, so a bottle lasts a long time.

The Comforter Bubble Bar. And last but by no means least, a bath time favourite, since it is the season of long hot baths after all. Lush are always bringing out gorgeous new bath products, but I come back to The Comforter time and time again. A warm blackcurrant and vanilla scent, one bar will create four or five intensely bubbly baths, filled with incredibly soft water. It’s a real comfort on a cosy winter night, and I always have one in my stash.

So there we go, 5 products worth the splurge (or adding to the Christmas list) this month!
