I should preface this post by pointing out that the shopping in Edinburgh is A+ and if you ever fancy a weekend shopping trip somewhere different, you should DEFINITELY head there. On this occasion I was in the city for Connor’s birthday, and whilst he indulged me with a little shopping, it certainly wasn’t the main goal of the trip. That plus hand luggage restrictions mean I have a rather modest little Edinburgh Haul for you, but there are some gems here I wanted to be sure I mentioned!
Firstly, I of course had to pick up a Starbucks City mug during the trip. It’d be fair to say that my mug collection is getting a little out of control these days, but it’s a tradition now to pick one of these up every time I visit somewhere new. They’re the perfect size for a cup of tea, and I love having these as mementos of my trip! The Edinburgh mug is a gorgeous blue cityscape, and it’s a nice little reminder of our trip when I have my morning coffee!
I had to pop into Anthropologie during our trip, I love their stuff so much + their Christmas range is always hella dreamy. This year is no exception and whilst Connor wouldn’t let me spend £20 on a sloth tree ornament (apparently that’s excessive, who knew?), I did finally pick up one of the metallic initial key rings. I look at these every year and lust after them, so I’m glad I finally treated myself to one! They’re so lovely, + I think they’d make a lovely gift for any ladies in your life who are tricky to buy for.
And finally, a few things purchased from the ever dreamy independent scandi homeware store Life Story. I picked up a brass Hay bullet pen + gorgeous white and gold mini notebook from Ola – I thought these were perfect handbag size. I also bought the last Meraki Forest Pine Candle in the store, and man am I glad I did, it’s a gorgeous fresh pine scent just like the Diptyque Christmas candle I bought last year, for a third of the price. It burns beautifully cleanly, throws it’s scent really far + smells incredible.
And that’s it! There was also a cheeky Mulberry purchase, but that was my Christmas present from Con so I have to wait a little longer for that!
Have you bought anything recently?
