Yes you read that right, the stars have aligned and the collaboration of your dreams is here, September’s Birchbox is in collaboration with Oliver Bonas! I was lucky enough to get my hands on one last week at the press event and let me tell you – it doesn’t disappoint! I always tend to pick up the limited edition/collab boxes from Birchbox, and the Oliver Bonas Birchbox is no exception to that rule – it’s beautiful!
I headed to the Pop Up co-working space set up by Oliver Bonas + Birchbox last week to find out more, and as always do those ladies know how to throw a shindig! We had breakfast catered by Pip and Nut, fresh coffee from Perky Blenders and a slew of inspiring talks happening throughout the day!
We also of course, got the opportunity to hear all about the collaboration, and build our very own Oliver Bonas Birchbox!
There are two boxes to pick from, both designed by the in house design team at Oliver Bonas, featuring their signature bright colours and bold patterns! I opted for the pinkier of the two boxes (mostly because it totally fits my Instagram aesthetic) but I’d have quite happily taken either home! Inside is the usual Birchbox drawstring bag filled with goodies!
As usual, you get a selection of beauty products from different categories (makeup, bodycare, haircare, skincare) and then the addition of an Oliver Bonas candle! It’s a travel candle in a beautiful fresh Bergamot and Mint scent, which is brand new and exclusive to Birchbox and the Oliver Bonas website! The candle retails for £12 full price which is more than the box!
I picked up a good selection of new products to try, the Bumble and Bumble Surf shampoo and Bobbi Brown Smoky Lash Mascara are both products I’ve been meaning to try for a while so I’m excited to give them a go. I also picked up a deluxe sample size of the Scrub Love Hydrating Coconut Oil Body Scrub, which has a heavenly coconut and mango scent, and seems to be just gritty enough. It claims to be deeply moisturising, skin conditioning and rich in antioxidants so hopefully it lives up to the claims! I also grabbed a sheet mask from asian skincare brand Manefit, the Mugwort Astringent and Pore Care mask. Most of the information on the packaging was in what I assume is Korean (I could be 100% wrong here), but I used this a few nights ago and it was nice, cooling and soothing, my skin felt a little tighter after using it!
So all in all I think the Oliver Bonas Birchbox is a bit of a bargain! A gorgeous box (I think I’m going to reuse mine to store nail polish), four great beauty products and a yummy travel candle! A great treat to yourself, or a nice little surprise for a friend!
Are you a Birchbox fan?
I was gifted my Oliver Bonas Birchbox, but was under no obligation to share – I just liked it so much!
