October Favourites 2016

The warm, comforting blanket of October has gone and November definitely feels like a shock to the system. It was like someone flipped a switch at the stroke of midnight on Halloween, and things got colder, crisper and a tiny touch bleaker. I’m not normally a fan of November, I always think it’s missing the magic of October, and Christmas still feels an age away, but I’ve got a busy month ahead of me so it doesn’t seem so bad this year! With that in mind, I wanted to get an October Favourites post in, as I don’t think I’ll have a November round up, I want to make room for as much festive content as possible!

I didn’t have a ton of favourites for October, but I did have a good mix of beauty, fashion and general life bits, so here goes!

Firstly, a little mention for this Zara blanket scarf! I picked it up on a bit of a Zara splurge at the end of September, and I’ve barely taken it off since! Aside from the fact it’s huge, soft and snuggly, the neutral colours mean it goes with pretty much everything in my wardrobe. It’s the perfect accessory for chilly mornings, or days at my desk when I need a little comforting (it’s basically a blanket!). It was £20 and considering how much I’ve worn it already, worth every penny!

A couple of beauty bits that deserve a little spotlight, starting with the Kat Von D Lock It Concealer. This has been a complete lifesaver, battling the effects of early mornings and the signs of anemia on my face! It really brightens up my complexion in the morning, and makes it look like I’ve been sleeping enough! It stays put really well throughout the day, and doesn’t crease either, so it gets a big thumbs up from me!

I’ve rediscovered my MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Stereo Rose this month, the perfect lazy gal’s cheek product. It’s a gorgeous rosy pink, but it’s got veins of shimmer and bronze running through it, so I use it as an all in one blush-bronze-highlight combo. It’s super pretty, and so easy to apply when you’re struggling on a dark wintery morning!

I’ve also been loving the Lush Sugar Plum Fairy Lip Scrub this month, which battles dry lips like no other! It’s just the right amount of scrubby, and it tastes like Ribena, which is definitely not a bad thing!

I wanted to also mention a movie I saw this month, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. I love a good Tim Burton movie, and this certainly didn’t disappoint! If you’re a Tim Burton fan, definitely check this one out!

And lastly, a shout out for Starbucks’ reformulated Chai Lattes! Whilst waiting for my beloved Gingerbread Lattes to come back into stock I’ve drunk a ton of these and they’re so tasty, the perfect autumn drink!

What have you been loving this month?
