On a Monday morning, you best bet that I’m keeping things as simple as possible. Hair in a messy bun, jeans and any tshirt that happens to be clean, and really simple makeup. Cause why would you make things harder than you need to on a Monday?
I always go in with a really light base, just something to even out my complexion. I steer clear of anything heavier because it’s quicker and less likely to go wrong! I’ve almost used up all my L’Oreal Nude Cushion Foundation, it’s my Sunday/Monday base of choice! Super light in formula and coverage, but easy to build up in areas you need a little more coverage.
I then go in with a super brightening concealer, right now I’m loving the Kat Von D Lock It Creme Concealer in L01, which is pretty much as light as it gets without being white. I apply this in a giant triangle under my eyes, and it brightens everything up and tricks people into thinking I’m awake.
I skip bronzer and highlight in favour of a shimmery blush that brightens my complexion & adds a little colour in one fell swoop. This time I went for my beloved MAC Stereo Rose MSF, but I also love NARS Orgasm Blush for this too!
Also in favour of speedy, simple makeup, I stick with just brows and mascara in the eye department. I add a little colour & definition using Benefit’s Gimme Brow, and then add lashings of mascara with the Bourjois One Second Volume Mascara.
A slick of nude lipstick and I’m done! My nude of choice is Urban Decay’s Ex Girlfriend right now, I just love the formula!
