One of the best things about Autumn (in my humble opinion) is the excuse to update your wardrobe. I mean, I don’t really need any more encouragement to go shopping but somehow this seems to validate it a bit more! This year, the arrival of Autumn was the perfect excuse for a few new accessories, namely a coat and bag!
I spent so long looking for the perfect Autumn coat. I have big thick cosy coats, coats for rain, coats for snow, but nothing that sort of bridged the gap between coat and jacket, something a little lighter for when it’s not raining or in the minus figures. I finally found this one in Next of all places, and it’s absolutely perfect. It’s warm and cosy without being too heavy, it’s incredibly soft, and I love the shape of it. It’s smart enough to be appropriate for work and meetings, but it also works chucked over jeans and a tshirt for a casual Sunday brunch. At £38 it’s not going to break the bank, and it’s simple enough that I think it’ll go with most things in my wardrobe!
A bag on the other hand was MUCH easier to find – when I spotted this in Zara I just had to have it! It’s the perfect fall bucket bag, a deep burgandy with gold hardware. It’s a good size for an everyday bag, and I like that it’s got a long cross body strap, or two shorter straps depending on how you want to carry it. And the best thing was the price – can you believe this was only £19.99?!
