Milk Makeup is seemingly the brand of the moment, and it’s hardly surprising, they’re ticking every millenial requirement. Cute packaging, check, vegan, check, cruelty free, check, that glowy, no makeup makeup look, check! They’re just the right side of high end pricing, certainly luxe but not totally bank breaking, and honestly? I just really like their products.

Since Milk officially launched in the UK on Cult Beauty this month, it seemed like the perfect excuse to share the products I’ve tried and my thoughts!

Milk Makeup Hydrating Oil – £20.50
Milk Say: An antioxidant rich formula for a natural glow. Packed with natural calendula, jojoba, apricot and avocado oils, it nourishes and hydrates in one move.
This has become my AM oil of choice, it’s easy to apply because of the stick formula, and not heavy or greasy on the skin. I simply swipe the stick across my face and use clean fingers to press the oil in. It’s a lovely nourishing oil, and one I’m excited to have on hand for travel, the plastic twist up packaging and solid formula make it a lot more practical for on the go. You can also use it on dry patches elsewhere (it’s great for elbows and cuticles) and as a hair oil too, so a good multitasker.

Milk Makeup Watermelon Brightening Serum – £32.50
Milk Say: Watermelon extract hydrates immediately, boosted by nourishing prickly pear. Vitamins A, C and E nourish the skin and protect against pollutants.
I don’t think I can find enough words to accurately describe how much I LOVE this serum. I use it in the morning post cleanse and it instantly refreshes and wakes up my skin. My skin is brighter, happier, clearer when I use this, and I’ve now got minis in my travel bag and my gym bag. I really love these solid skincare formulas, they’re SO practical for on the go. I’ve also been using my full size for about 3 months every morning and I still have at least half left bafflingly!

Milk Makeup Cooling Water – £20.50
Milk Say: Soothing for skin feeling hot, stuffy or parched, caffeine is this serum’s main ingredient, helping energise sleep deprived complexions by increasing micro-circulation. It’s immediate cooling and depuffing qualities are perfect for tired skin.
I’m not sure I’d function in the mornings without this. One swipe under the eyes instantly helps wake me up, depuff eye bags and smooth out the skin. I love this so much, again I’ve got one in the gym bag, one in my travel bag and even one in my handbag for fighting the afternoon slump. A must have.

Milk Makeup Flex Concealer – £23.75
Milk Say: Combines high tech and natural ingredients for a flawless no budge finish. Contains hydrating blue lotus and soothing camomile in it’s full coverage formula to help heal as well as cover.
I was thrilled to be able to repurchase this concealer having already been through one tube. It strikes a great balance between high coverage and natural finish, perfect for hiding my under eye bags without looking cakey. I love this applied with a Beauty Blender for a super natural finish. I’d say it’s comparable to the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer, but less drying.

Milk Makeup Luminous Blur Stick – £30.50
Milk Say: A lightweight primer that blurs over pores whilst illuminating skin.
Now I have a few pals with better skin than me who haven’t really gotten the hype around this product, and whilst I’d agree that this isn’t the most illuminating primer I’ve tried, I love how this transforms the texture of my skin into a silky base for makeup. My makeup lasts longer when I use this and foundation applies more evenly.

Milk Makeup Matte Bronzer in Baked – £20.50
Milk Say: Sun-kissed skin in a stick, this creamy bronzing stick is lightweight and ultra blendable. Mango butter, peach nectar and avocado oil provide a nourishing hit that lasts all day.
If you only buy one thing from Milk Makeup, make it this. Smooth and creamy in texture, this glides onto the skin without disrupting foundation underneath, and blends out to the perfect creamy matte bronze, offering cheek definition and glow to the skin. This is one of the only cream cheek products I’ve found that actually lasts all day on my skin.

Milk Makeup Lip + Cheek in Werk – £20-50
Milk Say: Part lip tint, part blush, this multipurpose product is perfect for those who want a glow on the go.
I’m still trying to get my head around how this matte shade can make my cheeks look so glowy? The shade Werk is a perfect dusky rose, looks exactly like a natural flush on the cheeks and is very similar to my natural lip colour, just a little more enhanced. Like the bronzer, the formula doesn’t budge once applied, and I just know I’m going to get so much use out of this. I’ve got a mini one in my travel bag, I think it’ll be perfect for minimal makeup summer days!

Milk Makeup Highlighter in Lit – £20.50
Milk Say: Our radiance boosting highlight grants an irresistibly glowy finish.
I’m a big fan of highlighters, but I like them to look subtly glowy. This shade seems to mesh perfectly with my skin tone and really look like my skin’s just got a glowy sheen to it. No glitter in sight, I like to pat this in with my finger tips for a super natural look.

Milk Makeup Kush High Volume Mascara – £20.50
Milk Say: Give your lashes high doses of TLC with our cannabis oil spiked mascara. Contains hollow heart shaped fibres that lock on to individual lashes for a flake free fullness.
I love how this mascara makes my lashes look, thick, fluttery and voluminous, I just wish the wand was smaller because every time I use it I end up with product on my eye lids. This is the first fibre mascara I’ve used that doesn’t flake throughout the day, but I would say avoid if you’re a serial eye rubber! If you like thick voluminous lashes, give this a go.

Overall, I’m a massive fan of the Milk Makeup brand, I love how nourishing the products are, how practical the packaging is, and you can get basically every product in miniature too!
I’m looking forward to trying more from the brand now that it’s readily available in the UK, and I’d love to know if you have any favourites you think I should try!
