6 Lush Cosmetics Favourites

Ugh I just can’t resist Lush. Despite having a giant box filled with bath bombs, bubble bars and the like, I still can’t resist popping into a store when I’m nearby. My bathroom is full of stacks of little black pots, my bedside table looks like a Lush pop up store – even my fridge isn’t safe and is stuffed with face masks! That being said, I don’t actually talk much about Lush here, and I think I should considering that I know walking into a Lush store can be a little intimidating if you’re not sure what you’re looking for! So, I thought I’d round up my six ride-or-die products, the one’s I always have stashed about the house!

These six favourites break up rather neatly into two bath, two body and two skincare favourites, which was totally unplanned but quite nice! There are a lot of other products from Lush that I LOVE, but if you’re looking for somewhere to start, here is as good a place as any! So in no particular order, my 6 favourite Lush products!

BUNNY MOON FACE MASK: Starting here with a fairly recent addition to the Lush line up, the Bunny Moon face mask. I love the Lush fresh face masks, but I rarely use them up before they start to go off, so I was thrilled when they launched a self preserving face mask line. Not only does it free up room in my fridge for the important stuff (read: cheese), they last much longer so no wastage here. I feel like Bunny Moon is going to be one it’s impossible to dislike, no matter your skin type, it’s packed with camomile to calm, rose oil to soothe and honey, which is a natural antiseptic. It’s what I reach for when my skin is misbehaving and it does wonders to calm things down and restore balance. A product I think everyone needs!

LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL FACE AND BODY SCRUB: Ugh my love affair with this stuff is long standing. Originally released as a limited edition scrub for Christmas, I loved this stuff so much I bought five back ups and kept them in my freezer. Thankfully, they bought this back around as a permanent product and I couldn’t be more grateful. I only use this stuff on my face, I love that it is most definitely scrubby, but fine and gentle at the same time. It’s got a maize and polenta base which gently exfoliates, cinnamon which stimulates the skin, and corn oil, which adds a little soft suppleness back into the skin. There’s no danger of your skin feeling dry or tight after a go with this, and it smells bloody lovely to boot.

SLEEPY BODY LOTION: I was hesitant to include this in this round up because I know it’s doing the rounds online as a ‘miracle insomnia cure’ and I didn’t want to add to the hype. Now, don’t buy this thinking it’s going to magically knock you out and you’ll never have a sleepless night again, because you’ll be disappointed. What I will say, is that it’s awfully lovely to slather yourself in this before bed, it’s soothing on the skin, and the scent is wonderfully calming. It’s not going to send you to sleep, but it does help add to a relaxing, sleepy, pre bed atmosphere. It’s a sweet, oatmeal, cocoa butter, lavender scent that I love (I have three tubs of this stuff now!).

LUSH SHOWER GELS: I’m being non specific here because asking me to pick just one would be like asking me to pick my favourite child. The Lush shower gels seem pricey when you first purchase them, but for reference a 250g bottle (around £11) tends to last me six months of daily showers (and I use it in place of shaving cream for my legs) – and I certainly can’t say the same for any other shower gel. You only need a little product to really lather up you’re whole body, and if you shower in the morning, you’ll still be able to smell this on your body at the end of the day. I’m currently using Prince Charming from the Valentine’s collection (grapefruit and marshmallow scented), but I also love Happy Hippy, It’s Raining Men + Plum Rain. I’ve got my mind on the new Berry Berry Winter scent next!

THE COMFORTER BUBBLE BAR: The one I always come back to! I always have one of these in my stash, it’s my ultimate bathing companion. I tend to lean to bubble bars more than bath bombs anyway cause, um, BUBBLES, but this one is my favourite scent, a warm berry and vanilla combination that reminds me of hot Vimto. It’s really softening on the skin, and I can get four baths out of one bubble bar which really just seems like a bargain to me!

UNICORN HORN BUBBLE BAR: I feel a bit mean mentioning this one since they only bring it out at Valentine’s, but it’s so special I couldn’t not mention it! It’s a gorgeous lavender scent and every time I use this, I immediately fall asleep post bath it’s SO relaxing. One horn normally gives me two generously bubbly baths, and I stock up every February! Make a note to pick this one up!

So there you have it, my ride or die Lush Cosmetics favourites! Have you tried any of these products? What are your favourites?
