A June To Do List

Hello June, nice to see you again. I’m hoping you’ll bring sunny days, long nights + happiness. We can hope, right? My to do list this month is very much centered around getting ready for summer! It’ll be a real bummer if it rains all month…

Last year June was such a wash out for our family, we lost my Grandad at the beginning and the rest of the month was shadowed by his funeral. This year, I want to make the most of June, and the beginning of the summer sunshine, before the kids break up from school and my little seaside town becomes flooded with tourists.

Spend an afternoon at the beach. I’m feeling the urge to bunk off work early one afternoon, and take a good book down the beach. Stretch out on the sand, soak up the sun, and let the sea breeze make me believe I’m in the Med.

See Pirates of the Caribbean. Are we supposed to be bored of Pirates of the Caribbean yet? I’m so not. I haven’t been to the cinema in ages, but we have a new one in town, so I’m going to use this as an excuse for a movie date night, with one of those fancy double seats for snuggling.

Keep up the meal planning. In the last two months Con and I have spent a FORTUNE on meals out + Deliveroo! We have a beautiful new kitchen now so no more excuses! I’ve been good at meal planning the last couple of weeks, but I’m hoping to keep it up this month! Any good recipe rec’s, let me know!

Have a weekend away! I’m headed to Cornwall with Con next week for a little mini break and I’m SO excited. I haven’t been to Cornwall for years, so I’m looking forward to a lazy weekend spent admiring the scenery + drinking lots of coffee.

Pick my own strawberries. Connor and I enjoyed our trip to the Pick Your Own farm back in September, I can’t wait to head back this month when the strawberries are ready for picking!

Plant my new succulents. I visited a local flower nursery with my Nan last month, I’m so excited to plant the succulents I bought into some cute Anthropologie mugs I have! Stay tuned on that one.

Make Watermelon Lemonade. Thanks to total babe Hannah Gale for pointing out that Tesco now sell frozen Watermelon balls! I’ve got big plans for these, Watermelon frosé, Watermelon + Mint slushies, and of course, Watermelon lemonade!

Have a girls night in. Now that our flat is starting to resemble somewhere people could actually live, I’m excited to have my girls round for wine + pizza + catch ups!

Have a picnic. Because June is prime picnic-ing time, before the wasps reappear!

What’s on your to do list this month?
