May To Do List

The fact that today marks the first day of May feels almost like a personal attack of Mother Nature. The weeks and months are slipping past faster and faster, and I feel like I’m missing out! After spending the first four months of the year unwell + trying to recover, I’m finally starting to feel a little more myself, so I’m looking forward to feeling like I’ve achieved something by the end of the month. With that in mind, here’s my May To Do List!

Plot some spring adventure days. Now that I’m feeling a little more spritely, I want to get planning some days out with Connor! On my to do list is exploring the gardens at Arundel Castle, taking photographs during the golden hour at Netley Abbey, and revisiting the Warner Brothers Studio Tour.

Learn something new on Skillshare. There are a few two month free trials doing the rounds right now, and I think I need to take advantage of it! I want to learn a little more about calligraphy and I’m told there are some great courses on the matter!

Replace my denim jacket. I mentioned in my How To Purge Your Closet post that my denim jacket is way past it’s best. I bought it in my first year of uni for £12 in Primark and have DEFINITELY gotten my money’s worth, but I think it’s time for an upgrade! I’ve got my eye on this ASOS number.

Declutter and minimise. All being well and good we’ll be moving in to our new place next week! In preparation I’m devoting all my spare time this week to Marie Kondo’ing my shit!

Work yoga into my daily routine. Now that I’m feeling a little stronger, I want to get back into the habit of daily exercise practise. Now, nothing crazy here, I can’t see me spending an hour in Crow just yet, but I’m looking forward to making time for a simple stretching routine, and making taking that time for myself a habit. That way, when I’m ready to take my exercise regime up a gear, I will already be in the habit of taking that time.

Treat my skin to the Kiehl’s Tumeric and Cranberry Seed Radiance Masque. My skin is feeling a little lacklustre right now, and could use a bit of pre-summer brightening. I’ve heard only good things about the Kiehl’s Masque, so it’s on my list to pick up!

Settle in to our new home. Connor and I lived together in London, but in a flat with very strict guidelines, where we weren’t even allowed to hang a mirror on the wall. I’m looking forward to getting settled in to our new home, and making it really feel like our space.

Buy Peonies! May brings with it the arrival of peony season! I’m so excited to get my hands on a bunch, perhaps as a moving in present to myself?

So there’s my little May to do list! Let me know in the comments what you hope to achieve in May!
