Hello 2017, your arrival has been eagerly anticipated.
I hope you all had a great festive period, filled with family, food and general frolicking. We had a very quiet, subdued one, which was exactly what we needed.
Now I find myself snuggled up in bed, with a bacon sandwich + a Parks and Recreation marathon, and despite the horrors that 2016 bought with it, I’m actually feeling, well, hopeful.
I’m hopeful for a fresh start, and new beginnings.
I’m hopeful for possibilities and adventures.
I’m hopeful for hopes, dreams and ideas.
But mostly, I’m hopeful because I survived everything 2016 threw at me, and surely I can only be stronger for it, right?
I’m not really one for resolutions, but this year I’ve taken inspiration from my incredible friend Tami, and adopted a word for the year, Peace. I’m craving a peaceful, quiet year, time spent just being still. Doesn’t that sound positively blissful?
Wishing you and yours, a happy, prosperous + peaceful 2017.
