How I Store My Makeup

Now maybe I’m just really nosy, but I love reading these sorts of posts, and having bought a couple of new storage units from Muji today, I thought I’d give you a little peek into my room, and where I store my makeup.
Now, ask my mother if you must, but I shall tell you now, I am the least tidy person you will ever meet. But, I am totally obsessive over my makeup and beauty products, and I totally flip out if someone messes up my system.
I keep my most used products on top of my desk, before today they were stored in a makeup bag (boriiiiiiiiing!) but thanks to my new Muji pots, they are ready and waiting for me! The drawers and pots cost me just under £15.
The top six section divider is home to my current nail varnish (Model’s Own Hot Stuff NP139 on my toes, and Rimmel Lasting Finish in 030 Double Decker on my fingers), the essential Touche Éclat, my eyeliner pencil (Max Factor Kohl in 020 Black) and mascara (Benefit’s ‘They’re Real’), my current primer (Smashbox Photo Finish), my kabuki brush, and two favourite MAC day Lipstick’s (Lovelorn and Sunny Seoul).

The three shelves underneath are home to foundations, lip balm and scrub, my most used brushes, concealer and current blush. I love having them all out to pick up as and when I need. I store my other brushes, and my fringe brush and comb, in a pot next to this unit.
Next to this, I keep my favourite face products in a cute lined wicker basket I picked up in TK Maxx for a mere £2.99. At the moment it contains the entire Body Shop Seaweed skincare range, Tea Tree Oil, Soap and Glory Peaches and Clean, Nivea moisturisers and eye makeup remover, and Witch Hazel Gel.
Rings, New Look, Primark, Camden and Ebay.
I keep a few rings on a cute little china tray from Urban Outfitters in front of my candles too. These candles are Yankee Strawberry Buttercream, Yankee Sicilian Lemon, and Apples Love Cinnamon by A Lovely Candle. I’m going to use the last jar as a makeup brush holder when it’s all gone, I just love it!
The rest of my makeup lives in the drawers underneath.
Nail Polishes are stored in an upturned Glossybox, with swatches stuck to the lids so I don’t have to root through to find the colour I want (I know, how OCD is that?!) I also keep assorted eyeshadows and Dazzle Dusts in here.
Next to that is powders and pansticks in the box and lid from an old Max Factor freebie. I store palettes down the side.
My lip sticks, stains, glazes and liners are all in this pot, while the Vaseline pot has glosses and balms hidden away.
I have a Muji pen pot with assorted mascaras, eyeliners and lipstains in, while concealers, primers, foundations, highlighters and cream blushers are littered in front.
The drawer below is home to makeup bags, samples, wipes, face masks, hair grips and bands, and handcare stuff. I have another box under my desk full of Body Shop samples, I can’t walk past a store without getting one! A lot of these minis and samples work there way into my bag when I go home for the weekend or if I stay the night for a friend, but I use the occasional one if I fancy something different! I swear by the Soap and Glory wipes, they really are making the pores on my nose less visible!
So that’s it! Wow that was picture heavy! Like I said at the start, I love reading these sorts of posts, so if you’ve done one please give me the link!
