My Everyday Makeup Routine in Australia

The title of this blog post is technically a lie straight out of the gate, because I’m definitely not wearing makeup everyday right now, but ‘makeup I wear on the days I bother’ didn’t seem quite so interesting so here we are! I’ve been rocking a much simpler makeup look in Aus, partly because in this heat the last thing I want is a thick layer of makeup, but also because the sun is doing wonders for my skin, so it feels good to have it out more! All that being said, there area few staples I’m reaching for every now and then just to perfect the ‘no makeup makeup look’.

Here’s an unedited snap of my face so you can get an idea of the finished look, we’re talking VERY minimal makeup here!

I’ve been skipping primer and foundation completely, and instead just really concentrating on my skincare. I’m still reaching for my NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer, and using a dampened Beauty Blender to press that into my undereyes just to cancel out the dark circles as much as possible. I find using a Beauty Blender with this concealer means it just makes it look super natural, and you can’t really see it on my skin at all.

Then I’ve been taking a big tapered fluffy brush from Real Techniques into my Max Factor Bronzer, and just taking it round the perimeter of my face and under my cheekbones. My face never tans as quickly as my body so doing this just helps me look a bit more even!

I groom my brows into place with the Glossier Boy Brow, which just adds a little bit of thickness and helps them stay where I put them, and then add a coat of mascara to my lashes. I’m currently using the Tarte Lights Camera Lashes one which isn’t my favourite (I like a little more volume), but it doesn’t smudge or stray from my lashes, which is more than can be said for the Maybelline Total Temptation Mascara.

Finally, a slick of the Glossier Rose Balm Dot Com on the lips, I haven’t been bothering much with lip colour but my lips have been pretty dry, so I just use this!

I almost feel bad calling this a makeup routine, but these products just make me feel a little more put together!

What does your everyday makeup routine look like right now?
