Top 5 Powder Blushes

When it comes to blushes, I’m something of a creature of habit. I like what I like, and so for the most part, I tend to come back to these five blushes.
For everyday wear, I tend to gravitate towards NARS Deep Throat (the smaller of the two NARS pans). The ultimate peachy pink with a hint of shimmer, this looks incredibly natural on the cheeks, just a hint of subtle colour!
NARS Daydream is very similar, but without the peachy undertones, and with a touch more shimmer. I go for this when I want a subtle hint of ‘wind bitten cheeks’. I love this in the autumn with a berry lip!
The Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Fearless is a deeper matte pink, something a little bolder. I like to go at this with a light hand, and just add a pop of colour to the apples of my cheeks. This blush just seems to go with everything, and looks especially good with a simple eye and lip look.
I went to three different Duane Reeds whilst I was in New York looking for theBalm’s Frat Boy Blush, and boy was it worth the effort. It’s a matte peach shade, but it seems to look ever so slightly iridescent on the skin. The formula and pigmentation is out of this world, and it’s super long lasting on the cheeks.
And lastly, the MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Stereo Rose, my go to for golden goddess, glowy cheeks. This is a beautiful rose pink with veins of golden shimmer, and on the cheeks it kinda does the job of blush, bronzer and highlight. It’s a fantastic option for when you want something simple!
With these five in my arsenal, I can’t see myself needing anything else!
