Currently Loving: Everyday Makeup

My University deadlines are looming, and so that’s kind of taken over every aspect of my life (my dad bought me cake after he saw me sans makeup the other day, because he thought I was ill. Yup. That happened.). Such fun. Because of that, I seem to have fallen into something of a makeup rut, and I’m kind of okay with that. I’ve got one little makeup bag with everything I need for one simple face of makeup, and I just put it on in the same way each time. Simple. Kinda boring, but simple. All the products are ones I just love, and that I would thoroughly recommend to every last one of you.I’ve fallen back in love with the YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat Foundation, as I do every couple of months. This really is such a fantastic product, it’s lightweight but it gives a good coverage, it contains liquid gold which gives a real dewy look to the skin, and it’s a perfect match to my skin tone (I wear the shade BR10, in case you’re interested). It’s not the most long lasting foundation out there, but pair it with a primer and you’re good to go. On top of that, I’ve been concealing those ghastly eye bags with the Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer, which adds a good mix of coverage and light to my under eyes.I’ve been keeping cheeks super simple and just dusting a little of the NARS Blush in Deep Throat on the fleshy (read: fatty) bits of my cheeks. This just gives a little pinch of pretty peachy shimmer, which really perks up the old complexion. Good stuff this.Brows I’ve been keeping minimal, just a quick swipe with the Blink Brow Gel to keep them in place does the trick! I’ve been using the Smashbox Photo Finish Lid Primer to even out my lids and help adhere the products I use next. I’ve fallen in love with the Max Factor Wild Shadow Pencil in 5 Caramel Rage, which is more of a bronzey taupe than caramel. This is a really long lasting cream shadow that’s super easy to apply, I just draw it all over my lids up to the crease, and blend it out with my finger, and take a little under the outer edge of my lower lash line. Most days Ive been leaving it and that, but sometimes I’ve also used some of the lightest shade in my Urban Decay Naked 2 Basics Palette to highlight my browbone and inner corners, or the darkest shade along my lashline like a liner. It’s a pretty easy extra step, but it makes a big difference. I’ve been using the Max Factor Waterproof False Lash Effect Mascara in black/brown, for subtle but defined lashes. And for lips a simple nude, the Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Naked, a pretty nude with a hint of peach, with a touch of Soap and Glory’s A Great Kisser Lip Balm on the top for a little boost of hydration. And that’s it! It seems like a lot written down, but it takes all of about five minutes, and makes me look less dead! What are your everyday go to’s?
