5 Things To Buy In November

I love November. Crisp cold mornings, furry coats, the anticipation of Christmas. November is bloody fantastic.I don’t know about you guys, but most of my disposable income this month will be going on Christmas presents for my loved ones, but you know how it is when you’re Christmas shopping, one for them and one for me? Either way, if you fancy treating yourself this month, here’s what you should be buying.I’ve held off saying this for a while but I’m going to do it, are you ready for this? Hold on to your socks girls, the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation is my favourite drugstore foundation. There, I said it. I’ve been thinking it for a while now but I’m finally ready to commit. It gives such a flawless finish, and you can really play with the coverage, going for light through to full coverage. It gives the skin a real satin finish, not shiny or matte, but glowy and healthy. It lasts really well throughout the day, and because it’s serum based it feels comfortable on the skin, whether it’s the middle of Summer and you’re hot and sweaty, or it’s Winter and you’re skin is dry and dehydrated. This stuff really is amazing, and I could happily give up all my other foundations and just go with this stuff. It’s not the cheapest in the drugstore, but the price point is still great and it’s often on offer. If this isn’t in your stash already, this is the month to get it.When the weather gets colder I’m all about the smoky eye and bold lip, so I like to go a little more subtle with the cheeks. I haven’t found a blush that goes better with everything than Benefit Rockateur. It just gives the cheeks colour and shape, stops your skin from looking washed out, but still isn’t too much and doesn’t distract from your fancy smoky eye or bangin’ bold lip. It’s just awesome.Speaking of banging bold lip, I know it’s a bit of a blogger cliche to mention this one, but I really do think the Rimmel Kate Moss Lasting Finish Matte Lipstick in 107 is worth the hype. It’s a beautiful bold berry shade with a hint of a pink undertones. The matte formula isn’t overly drying, but it lasts fantastically throughout the day. I’m scared of bold lips but even I can rock this with confidence.Another honorable mention from Rimmel, I’ll be honest, I’m a little bored with the burgundy nail polishes that are part and parcel of this time of year, and instead I’ve been reaching for the Rimmel Salon Pro Nail Polish in Saturn. These really are one of the unsung heroes of the drugstore, under five pounds, amazing smooth, long lasting formula, fantastic colour range and wide brush that makes painting your nails an absolute dream. Saturn is a gorgeous duochrome green/grey/gold colour that just looks gorgeous on the nails, like some kind of cosmic oil spill. And lastly, a little luxury for you, because you deserve it. The Diptyque Pomander Candle is the epitome of wintery scents, a gorgeous spiced orange scent that really fills the room. It’s pricey, but it’s worth it, and hell, you’ve worked so hard with all that Christmas shopping! What will you be splurging on this month?
